Final Approach by John J. Nance was published in 1990, but the story is eerily similar to the later Boeing 737 crashes. But there was a lot more to the story than the suspected mechanical or technical problems. A thunderstorm affected the normal landing procedures, the pilot was an egotistical chief pilot and there were suspicions that a military vehicle that may have caused aircraft misfunction. It's a fast moving story which was also a made for TV movie.
