An End to 2020

What a year this has been, so many tragedies and triumphs packed into 365 days. Covid-19 swept the world but Space-X transported astronauts to the space station. People were locked down and schools closed but we were able to see the Christmas Star combining Jupiter and Saturn. Many famous people died, but many babies were born and it will be years before we find out about the amazing people whose birth date was in 2020.

People have been angry resulting in protests destroying property, but others have selflessly built homes for those less fortunate and used their closed restaurants to provide meals for those in need.

Elections were won and lost bringing with them more dissention and anger.

In times like this, it brings out the goodness in people (although the media would prefer to focus on evil).

So, lets focus on what is good, what has been achieved and care for those around us. We don't have to cure the whole world, but let each of us do our little part in our community. One lady wrote and mailed a thank you card each day (365!).

It is a small thing, but I have used my surplus yarn to make crochet angels and hand them out with a simple Random Acts of Kindness poem. Hopefully it will spark others to pass kindness on. Let's be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

2020 is nearly over but 2021 is just beginning. Praying for a happy and prosperous year to each of you and your families.
