The Cakes of Wrath by Jacklyn Brady

I had a nice surprise in the mail this week - The Cakes of Wrath by Jacklyn Brady arrived. I was the winner in a giveaway from the Escape with Dollycas blog.

From the Cover:
Rita Lucero, owner of New Orleans cake shop Zydeco Cakes, can't seem to stop saying "yes." Even though things at the bakery are busy, Rita finds herself accepting a seat on the local small business alliance - a group full of colorful characters like Chopper Shop owner Moose Hazen and his wife, Destiny, whose personal life is messier than a cake someone left out in the rain.
On a street following a heated alliance meeting, Moose pulls Rite out of the path of a speeding van. Shaken and bruised . . .

This is another cozy mystery with a theme and includes delicious recipes. I enjoyed this book and will go back and read the others in this series, although the author did a great job at acquainting the reader with the characters and reading them in order doesn't seem necessary. I also liked the New Orleans setting - a great place for a cozy mystery.

Hop on over to the Dollycas blog - she has lots of great reviews and giveaways. Definitely worth following.
