When pumping gas, make sure your doors are locked. A crime spree in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area nicknamed "Sliding" consists of crooks pulling next to your car. The passenger gets out while crouching low and opens your door, sliding your purse or valuables from your car while you're taking care of filling your car with gas.
