It's been ages since I've read a No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency Book, set in Botswana, and was happy to find some in a recent library book sale. Alexander McCall Smith makes the reader feel they are connecting with old friends. The first few stories were part of an HBO series starring Jill Scott.
The familiar characters: Precious Ramatswe and Grace Makutsi, up to their usual tricks and with such large personalities, make The Limpopo Academy of Private Detection a delightful read.
In The Limpopo Academy of Private Detection, Precious Ramatswe is haunted by a repeated dream, but she puts her thoughts aside to help the matron of an orphan farm to fight against rich and powerful influences.
