In the midst of all the protests and rioting, Emmanuel Acho explains and answers questions that white people have asked him.
He points out that Colin Kaepernick refusing to stand during the national anthem was in protest against treatment of minorities whereas people saw it as being disrespectful to the flag, America, and to our military (many of those serving our country were attending the game where he knelt during the anthem). Drew Brees is taking flack for a heartfelt answer when asked about "NFL players taking a knee". His answer showed how much the flag and anthem means to him. The point is we are all coming from different walks in life and have different histories - we should respect other's voices and opinions and listen before being judgmental. Having uncomfortable conversations is a good place to start.
