I became a big fan of Lorena McCourtney when I first read her Ivy Malone series. Now she has a new series featuring Cate Kincaid.
Cate is temporarily working as an assistant for her private investigator uncle and her first assignment is to locate Willow for a client. But when she discovers a dead body, she find herself involved with the Whodunit Ladies Book Club, a fluffy feline moves into her house and she ends up in unpredictable situations.
Cate is a likable character although she often seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time leaving the reader at the edge of their seat. Lorena McCourtney has a lovely writing style. Although this is categorized as Christian mystery, it's more about who the character is than written from a Christian perspective. I think it would appeal to anyone no matter what religion you are.
