At age 105, Ida Pollock, the world's oldest author died last Friday in Cornwall. She wrote her first book at age 14 and continued writing under numerous pseudonyms until her death. In her last years, she dictated her novels to her 70 year old daughter. She was currently working on her 125th romantic novel when she died. Her late husband, Hugh Pollock, was once married to Enid Blyton another prolific author. Ida said she could write a 70,000 word novel in a six week period.
