We had glorious weather over the week-end. But no one is quite sure what to wear this time of year as the temperatures vary widely and can drop 30 degrees in a few hours. There were people wearing shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops and others wearing sweaters and boots.
But regardless of the weather, Saturday was a great day to tour the grounds of the Kimbell Art Museum and view paintings by Picasso and Matisse. Of course there is also the museum's collection that's wonderful to browse. My favorite paintings are Portrait of May Sartoris because the colors are so vivid and Near Sydenham Hill by Camille Pissarro which always makes me a little homesick because it's a view of where I used to live in England.
Hop on over to Wordsplash to see some pictures of the new architecture that's part of the Kimbell Museum complex.
