Joanne Faries doesn't get warm fuzzies when she sees a puppy, a baby koala or a hamster, instead she gets chills equaled to watching a horror movie. And yet, Joanne is the one that animals gravitate toward like a magnet. A puppy will bypass all the hands held out by dog lovers and sidle up to Joanne and plonk itself at her feet or jump on a couch next to her.
