Saving CeeCee Honeycutt was a delightful read and reminded me of The Secret Life of Bees. Cecilia Honeycutt is faced with obstacles early on in her life, beginning with her despair over a mother who wears pageant dresses on a daily basis. I read the first line "Momma left her red satin shoes in the middle of the road" and was hooked. This is a great summer read. Book club questions can be found here.
