Mermaids

I was going to put something inspirational on my blog this morning but after reading Helen Ginger's post at Straight from Hel I can't stop laughing long enough to be serious. I met Helen Ginger at a writing workshop a couple of years ago in Bedford, Texas. She was kind enough to help me with my query letter to send out to agents/editors and along with her advice she entertained us with stories from her past life as a mermaid at Aquarena Springs - with Ralph the swimming pig really!
