World's Oldest Author

Ida Pollock: world's oldest novelist dies aged 105At age 105, Ida Pollock, the world's oldest author died last Friday in Cornwall. She wrote her first book at age 14 and continued writing under numerous pseudonyms until her death. In her last years, she dictated her novels to her 70 year old daughter. She was currently working on her 125th romantic novel when she died. Her late husband, Hugh Pollock, was once married to Enid Blyton another prolific author. Ida said she could write a 70,000 word novel in a six week period.

Amazing, first of all to live to that age and then to still be writing - WOW. I will definitely have to check out some of her books.

Wow! That is quick. I know with NoNoWriMo the goal is 50000 words in four weeks. It is doable if you don't edit as you go.

I haven't read Ida Pollock before but am impressed with her longevity both in life and in her career.
