National Novel Writing Month

Generic 120x240Today is day one of National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write 50,000 words of a novel by November 30 which works out at just over 1,600 words a day. So, if you've ever wanted to write a novel, today is the day to start. Sign up on NaNoWriMo, connect with friends, encourage others and get typing. The idea is to write each day without going back and editing and thus unleash your creative side.

It's a lot of fun, and the folks at NaNoWriMo do a great job at encouraging participants with tips and ideas to keep you going. You can also add friends and see their progress. I'm working on the fourth book in the Lowenna series.

You can read the history of NaNoWriMo here

So, join over 200,000 people worldwide and sign up to participate today.

Good luck - I have no doubt you'll crank out 50K words AND they'll be excellent words too. Love the Lowenna series
