Shanty Girl Studio

Last week-end we stopped by the Shanty Girl studio (where all the magic happens) and Sherry explained to us how the shabby chic room came to be. Inspired by the story of a Parisian apartment that was abandoned for 70 years (you can read about it here), Sherry put together an assortment of furniture and yard sale finds and got to work painting, distressing and even rubber stamping some of the furniture. The result is a cozy room, displaying her aprons and bags. Take a look at the Shanty Girl blog she has a plethora of unique designs and hand crafted items. While you're there, sign up for a Buggy Bag giveaway.

I am so tickled that you wrote about my studio, you and Cheryl were the second other than direct family to come in and see it. Thank you so much for your kind words and enthusiasm. I love it when women lift eachother's dreams up into the light. I think women can really motivate eachother. It is really uplifting talking to others that are following their dreams. And of course I also just loved listening to your adorable accent!! I hope to have you back soon and would love for you to sign my both of my book's I just purchased.

I admire someone who can not only sew, but do it beautifully.
