It was 150 degrees in Fort Worth today. Well maybe not, but it felt like it. Regardless, my die-hard gardening friends and I wandered around the six gardens on the Fort Worth Hidden Gardens Tour. We got lots of ideas, marvelled over some unusual plants and enjoyed a pleasant shaded respite from the heat under an umbrella of foliage. We managed to walk past swimming pools and a lake without any mishaps although we were tempted to "fall" in. In between houses, we piled into the car cranked up the air conditioning, and gulped down icy cold water.
