What genres do you prefer?
I prefer historical fiction, mysteries, and memoirs.
What are your least favorite genres?
I do not like paranormal and sci-fi.
What book do you wish everyone would read?
Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I loved that book…actually I loved that book so much, I had to take a trip to Barcelona.
Tell us about yourself. Have you always lived in Pennsylvania?
I am a business/computer teacher, and have taught for 34 years. Ten of those years were at the high school, two at the middle school, and the remainder of those years has been in the elementary schools as a computer specialist.
Yes…I have always lived in Pennsylvania.
I saw the beautiful pictures of Scotland when you visited your son in
2010. Where else have you traveled?
Scotland was my favorite place to visit for scenery, but not the weather. I was there at Thanksgiving one year and in the summer for three weeks. The weather was the same in November as it was in July.
Rainy and chilly weather....but the beautiful, quaint country made up for the bad weather.
I have traveled to Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville, Spain. Also Rome, Florence, and Venice, Italy. My son travels extensively and always wants me to accompany him. He has visited almost every country in Europe and has also gone to South Africa, Egypt, and Japan. I have not gone on all his excursions.
What's coming up on your blog for 2012?
Reviews, reviews, reviews, a few author appearances, and blog tours for other blogs and authors.
Book giveaways will also be on the horizon as well. I have so many books that I need to share. See how overcrowded my bookshelf is, and I have two more. :)
I will be retiring in January of 2012, so even more fun will be coming to my blog since I will have more time. I haven’t figured out what other fun things will be happening yet, but please stop by often to find out.
Thank you for featuring me on your blog, Ann. It has been my pleasure to be a guest on your blog.
Elizabeth, it sounds like we have a lot in common. I’m looking forward to more wonderful reviews in 2012. I love the desk made from an old treadle sewing machine.
Thank you for stopping by.

Thanks for sharing this enjoyable interview. I always like seeing pictures of crammed bookshelves! (I think they're very cozy.) Congrats to Elizabeth on her retirement and on having more reading and blogging adventures :)
Visiting a place featured in a book you love sounds like a spectacular idea!

Thoughts in Progress
It's wonderful that you've gotten to go to so many places! I love to travel, but haven't been to that many places overseas. Some day!
K9Friend....it was so fun to find all the place in Barcelona.
Loved the city as well.
Elizabeth
I have finally had time to read your first guest posts. I think it was a great idea, and a nice way to renew a blog.
Must run off now to see those pictures of Scotland, my favourite holiday resort...
