What to Expect the Second Year

What to Expect the Second Year by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel is a great toddler reference book.  There are chapters about feeding, safety, behavior, buying shoes and growth charts. My granddaughter is still in her first year and so it will be a little while before we need this.

I received this book as a giveaway on Parenting by Trial and Error.

But I am sure the years must past even faster when you have grandchildren than when you have your own ;)

I was just checking up on two-year-olds today, but that was because I was reading a thriller with a little girl in it. And her language and behaviour did not really suit her age, but that is quite typical of writers, even mothers. So many of them forget how fast their toddlers learned things ;)

Trial and error was truly the way I raised by four children.

I saw your comment on my blog and came over here to meet you. You mention granddaughter. I have 7 grandchildren I live close to, which is why I moved at one point from the West to the East coast, to be near children and grandchildren. (I mention this in my recently published memoir.) I hope you're enjoying your life in Texas, and I'm glad to meet you. I recognize most of these nursery rhymes and songs from my very long ago childhood, and from my children's. Some are new and sound intriguing, such as Wheels on the Bus and Once I Caught a Fish. How fun! I hope you both enjoyed the time you spent together with this!
