Concerts in the Garden

This evening was our annual neighbors night out at the  Concerts in the Garden.  There was a pleasant breeze in the Fort Worth Botanic Garden where we listened to the music of John Denver.  Jim Curry's voice naturally resembles that of the singer/songwriter who spent his high school years at a local school here in Texas. We sang along to Calypso, Leaving on a Jet Plane and Annie's Song. The biggest applause was during Country Roads  but that may have coincided with the news that the Mavericks had won the NBA title. As always the firework display finale was spectacular.

sounds like a nice night topped with a Mavericks victory that you didn't have to watch. Ft.Worth just does stuff right.

You sang to calypso? In Texas? If you're referring to the island music, I'm amazed. Calypso originated in the island of Trinidad where I was born. Nice blog! I'm following you. Will you follow me back?
