Vietnam War Memorial

The Vietnam War Memorial replica (The Moving Wall) stopped in Benbrook, Texas this month.

"IN HONOR OF THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES WHO SERVED IN THE VIETNAM WAR. THE NAMES OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES AND OF THOSE WHO REMAIN MISSING ARE INSCRIBED IN THE ORDER THEY WERE TAKEN FROM US."

Preamble of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Despite being smaller in stature than the original Wall displayed in Washington D.C. (picture below) The Moving Wall is nevertheless, both impressive and heart wrenching.

We also had a stop once in Wisconsin and I agree it was really something to experience and take in....thanks for sharing!

Fascinating! I'll have to google the stops for the moving wall. I'd love to see it.

The Moving Wall stopped in our town a few years back and it was amazing. So many names of those lost. We were able to find the names of two of our cousins that are on the wall. It's sad and moving.

wish I had seen this. Wow. The real wall in DC is starkly inspirational, sad, and emotional.
