Enchanted Rock

On our way home from Fredericksburg last month we stopped at the Enchanted Rock National State Park. The rock is a gigantic domed rock of pink granite in the Texas Hill Country. Despite the heat, we struggled up the side of the rock, which is smooth in places and made the walk/climb difficult. From the rock there are beautiful vistas of the surrounding area.

we've stopped there when we've visited Ray's aunt in San Saba. It's pretty cool for being out in the middle of nowhere. Definitely huffed and puffed on the climb.

We have a small lot on the St Francis River. It has tons of pink granite very similar to that. Beautiful!
