National Novel Writing Month 2009

It's nearly here. November 1 is the kickoff date for National Novel Writing Month. NaNoWriMo After being indecisive for the last couple of months, I was guilted into participating again this year by my writing pal Melissa who has a gruelling school schedule, attends sporting events, which her ten year old son participates in, has a full time job and gets up at 4:00 a.m. to write for an hour each morning. With the time change on October 31 I'll be up an hour earlier anyway so I might as well put the time into good use and start on the next Summerville novel and will be pounding out just over 1,600 words per day (at least that's the plan). This one will be based in Mineral Wells and feature the Baker Hotel (a fictitious version).

Ann, you inspire me with your tireless progression through the process of a true professional writer. You give me a far more lasting nudge than I could ever give you. --Melissa

I'm in too, but this will be my first Nano. I had to laugh because my Critter Alley post for today looks almost exactly like yours does! ROFL

If you like, let's buddy-up. I'm K9friend1.

sounds like we'll need to lunch sometime with my pal JB for some Baker behind the scenes research. Welcome aboard.
