The Quilt

Challenge No. 3 in November was finishing the quilt I have been making for my precious daughter and her sweet husband. Apart from the borders, where I used the sewing machine, I pieced the squares and quilted by hand. I began sewing in the summer but when it was over 100 degrees, the last thing I wanted to do in the evenings was spread a comforter over my lap. Sewing took up most of my time in November (when I wasn’t at the computer writing a novel). I finished the last stitch the week of Thanksgiving, put my needle and thread away and started reading Anna Karenina – now my daughter wants curtains!!!
