Buzzy the Bee by Ann Summerville

You can find a list of my cozy mysteries and other children's books on my Amazon Author Page.

Buzzy the Bee is now available on Amazon.com

When Joe, the gardener, had to leave for a few weeks, Buzzy and her friends promised to look after his garden – all except Frank, the beetle, who didn’t realize what he was giving up by being lazy and sleeping instead of helping his friends.  (Based on the parable of the five talents).

The Magic of Christmas by Ann Summerville

My third children's book, The Magic of Christmas is now available on Amazon in print and for Kindle

A collection of Christmas Stories including The Christmas Angel: Despite the faded dress and graying wings, six-year-old Molly was excited when she unwrapped the angel every year and placed her on top of the tree. But this year her mom had bought a new sparkling white one. But what will happen to the angel that Molly loved?

Rufus and Ryan Go To Church by Kathleen Long Bostrom

Rufus and Ryan Go to Church by Kathleen  Long Bostrom is a wonderful book introducing children to their first visit to church. It explains what happens and prepares them. My granddaughter goes to Sunday School but isn't aware that adults go to the church service. She tells everyone "I go to Sunday School and Mommy and Daddy go on a date."

A big thanks to Mason over at Thoughts in Progress. I won Rufus and Ryan Go to Church in a giveaway on Mason's blog.

A Giraffe and a Half by Shel Silverstein

A Giraffe and a Half is a children's book by Shel Silverstein that's fun to read. It reminds me a little of the Dr. Seuss books. Each page adds a little more to the story and at the end my two year old granddaughter was saying the rhyming story with me.

Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans

My granddaughter, who is now three months old,  read her first book today. Actually, I did the reading and she looked at the pictures.  Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans is about a young French girl who despite wearing a school uniform identical to her classmates, stands out with her antics and "was not afraid of mice". The Madeline books have been delighting children since the late 1930s. Like Madeline, Ludwig Bemelmans, was a strong character and his personality shows in the Madeline books.
