Spanish Moss and Resurrection Fern

While visiting the Louisiana Plantations this year, we noticed Spanish Moss and Resurrection Fern growing on the trees. We learned from local guides that neither of these are parasites like mistletoe, but actually help the trees by sealing in moisture during the hot summer months.
