Sound of Music Sing-a-Long

Last week-end the Sound of Music played at the historic Ridglea Theater that recently reopened and is still undergoing major renovations to return it to it's 1947 design.
The movie follows the story of the Von Trapp Family who lived in Salzburg, Austria and stars Christopher Plummber and Julie Andrews. The story, although highly fictionalized, came from the book written by Maria von Trapp.
But this wasn't just a showing of the famous film, it was also a sing-a-long where people dress up, the screen shows the words to songs so the audience can join in and the audience is instructed to shout or boo when certain events happen. There are even poppers to set off.
It was a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to more events and watching the progress of the Ridglea Theater renovations.

You can read more about the real Von Trapp family here.

Tip: Don't sit in the balcony if you're watching a movie at the Ridglea Theater, the stage lights cover the top 25% of the screen.
