Book Club

Someone gave me this refrigerator magnet on Monday. Unfortunately, it's no secret that our book club fizzled last year. Although we met for dinner a few times, I don't remember actually reading a book as a group, but this year we are more organized and have three books that we plan to read. The Help by Kathryn Stockett, Half the Sky by Nicholas D. Kristof and Family Matters by Rohinton Mistry are the first on the list. It's a rainy day in North Texas and perfect reading weather so I'll open up my crisp new book and start on The Help. Now if we can only decide on a date to meet we will be off to a good start.

Thanks for visiting my blog Ann. I am in deep south Texas, about 8 hours away actually, but I have a daughter in Dallas and visit that area now and then.
Your book sounds interesting. I wish they had a book club here. I read a lot and will have to become a follower to see what you are reading.

You'll love "The Help". I read it early last year and couldn't stop recommending it to friends. And it's Kathryn Stockett's first novel!
