Carnival Conquest - Caribbean Cruise - At Sea

The first two days at sea gave us a chance to explore the ship. There are so many activities that a daily itinerary is delivered to the cabin each day. I chose to spend the morning walking on the upper deck track and getting used to the layout of the ship before stopping by the gym in preparation for lunch at the buffet where there are plenty of calories to entice you. While still in the Gulf, the weather was a little chilly but the pool area was sheltered and warm enough to sit outside. The ship is decorated with an impressionist flair and many reproductions of the paintings by Monet, Degas and Renoir are scattered around the ship. The recently renovated Conquest is a 2,900 passenger ship with a crew of over 1,100. Each evening after dinner in one of the luxurious restaurants, there is a show (some of Broadway quality) and multiple bars have musical entertainment along with a casino and a movie shown on the lido deck screen. If you're lucky enough to find a waiter with a sense of humor you may be in for some unplanned entertainment.
