Weatherford, Texas

Before moving to Texas, we lived in California on the outskirts of Los Angeles where it was not uncommon to see a movie star or filming in progress. While friends were visiting from California we drove to Weatherford to eat lunch and wander around the antique stores. Although Larry Hagman did spend his childhood in Weatherford, there are few star sightings in the area and we were discussing how different it was from Los Angeles.

Crossing the street my daughter Cheryl stopped suddenly and stared at a young man. We stood behind her not sure why she was staring at him. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights, startled and not sure whether to run. My daughter walked slowly toward him as if expecting him to dart off. She asked him if he was in a television show. Having never watched Prison Break I didn't recognize Wentworth Miller. He was very kind and agreed to have his picture taken. She called her husband to tell him about her experience, told him about the picture she had taken with Wentworth Miller and when he finally managed to get a word in, his calm response was "Happy Valentine's Day to you too honey." Gotta love that son in law of mine who is never phased by our crazy family.
